I'm pleased to offer this set of 2 Vintage New Old Stock Flour Sacks. Each flour sack has its original label, vintage fabric and intact sewing on the sack. The 100 lb. Statesville Laying Mash sack was made by Statesville Flour Mills Co. located in Statesville, N. C.. The sack is in excellent condition with a vintage 1930's - 1940's fabric. The woman of the house would wash the label off the sack after storing the flour and re-use the fabric to make clothing for her family or create a quilt to keep her family warm during the winter months. The New South 10 lb. Flour Sack was made by the New South Flour Co. located in Louisville, Ky. This smaller sack is also in excellent condition and has a teal polka dot fabric. What a great piece of history showcasing the make-do philosophy of the 1930's and 1940's.

Date: Vintage - probably from the 1930's - 1940's (due to the fabric patterns)
