Chisel Edge Kiridashi with Jute Wrapped Handle orders -- box cutter carpentry tool scrapbooking wildcrafting craft knife utility knife
This kiridashi was hand forged by Odin's Own Bladeworks in a traditional coal forge. It's made from 1084 high carbon steel and has a jute wrapped handle, hardened for ease of access, grip, and maneuvering.
The overall tool is about six inches (6") overall with a roughly inch (1") long blade, single beveled for use in carpentry, wildcraft, wood craft and home or paper craft. A kiridashi is a traditional japanese marking tool used by craftsmen, much like a modern box cutter or utility knife.

All high carbon alloys are subject to oxidation. Care must be taken with all hand forged blades to avoid oxidation by removing moisture after use. We treat each blade with pure clove essential oil before shipping and recommend regular maintenance with clove oil, gun oil, or any other suitable oil for the protection of high carbon metals.
