DESCRIPTION
* This is Hamel's fleece which was shorn for his pleasure and yours as he is alive & well, happily roaming the fields on his small family farm. His thick, tussled fleece is a crisp white and has the most incredible long locks! A stunning & artistic piece which will add a touch of mystery to any home setting!

*use as a pillow "cover" simply place square fleece over an existing pillow

THE PROCESS:
* Felting is a labor intensive art with each finished piece involving many hours of work - all done by hand! The end result is undeniably lovely and because of the hand made nature, you can be assured that no two pieces will ever be the same (in fact, a sheep's fleece will always grow back in with subtle differences from year to year) - thus assuring you of original and functional art for your home

* Prior to the actual felting process, I spend a great deal of time removing bits of bedding and vegetable matter from each fleece. You will, however, expect to find some remaining vegetable matter such as hay, straw, etc. which shows up more evidently in light & dark colored feeces

* My felted fleeces are entirely hand made and respond to use much differently than a tanned hide. Each fleece has its own characteristics & some will shed more than others. If you have a particular use in mind, feel free to contact me so I can do my best to assist you in selecting the most suitable fleece for your needs.

* Once completed, I hand wash each fleece using an all natural plant based cleanser which is safe for the environment and restores the natural pH of the wool. They are then orders set out to dry under the sun.
