Product code: Snowflake Dichroic Glass Cabochon Pendant set in Fine Silver, orders blue, green and pink dichroic glass, handcrafted, OOAK

Snowflakes swirl in and around this dichroic glass pendant set in fine silver. Featuring many shades of pink, blue and green, it has a flattened spiral of silver at the top of the piece.

The orders fine silver setting is handcrafted in precious metal clay, using my own design for the bezel.

It measures 1 5/8” x 1 1/4” including the bail which is generously sized to accommodate most chains and cord necklaces.

The back of the piece is marked with my initials, PH, and .999 fine silver.

It is a one of a kind creation which comes in a little, white gift box.

This listing is for the pendant only. If you are interested in purchasing a rubber cord with a sterling silver lobster clasp, I have them available in 16", 18" or 20"--just let me know what length you'd like to buy and I'll arrange a listing for it.

What is Precious Metal Clay

Precious Metal Clay, PMC, has microscopic particles of silver mixed with a moist binder to create a material that has the feel and working properties of modeling clay. Using clay working tools, objects are easily given shape, texture and character. After air-drying, the pieces are fired in a kiln to temperatures approaching the melting point of the metal, where particles fuse together to make a dense fully metallic object of .999 fine silver.

What is Dichroic Glass

Dichroic glass is made by evaporating micro-thin layers of metal oxides on glass in a vacuum chamber. After fusing it with other glass, certain wavelengths of light will either pass through or be reflected, resulting in a distinctive and intensely colorful metallic appearance. Given the variations in the firing process, each piece is unique.

Jewelry by Phyllis Howard

My work combines Precious Metal Clay and dichroic glass in my own distinctive designs derived from my background in pottery and metal working. I revel in texture and surprising design elements which make my pieces unique. Every piece is stamped .999 fine silver and signed with my initials, PH.
