Three vintage balusters that were used under a railing. They are made from a solid steel bar and have a beautiful, curled design at the top. Two sides of the bar have a stamped design that looks a bit like alligator skin. Towards the center, there is orders a cast iron decoration with an amazing leaf or flower like design that is repeated on all four sides. Each baluster has a base and the curled designs on the top each have threaded holes and I assume this is where it was attached to the railing with a bolt.
These are all solid metal - they are so much sturdier than the hollow tube balusters that you would buy at Home Depot. I am sure there are repurposing options for these, they are fantastic and could be displayed on their own.
The balusters have slightly different dimensions.
1. 29 3/4 inches tall 4 5/8 inches wide at the top and the bar in the middle is 5/8 by 5/8 inches.
2. 29 5/8 inches tall 4 3/4 inches wide at the top and the bar in the middle is 5/8 by 5/8 inches.
3. 29 3/4 inches tall 4 3/4 inches wide at the top and the bar in the middle is 5/8 by 5/8 inches.
All have wear - scratches and scuffs and paint loss - they were originally painted black and only a bit of that is left (they would be very easy to repaint if you wanted to). There is no major damage, they are very solid.
