This wonderful antique French textile dates to approximately 1870 - this piece would have hung from the center of the ciel de lit of a lovely bed! This textile is a beautiful, sturdy medium weight cotton and has a wonderful black ground with the printed design in shades of deep cherry red, raspberry pink, chocolate brown, a medium cocoa brown, and a bit of light olive green with some soft sandy beige... gorgeous combination! It's all handsewn and was hemmed on all sides with the most gorgeous hand stitching! This textile would be lovely deconstructed and repurposed into pillows or upholstery projects!

MEASUREMENTS: This textile is a bit tricky to measure, but it measures approximately 49 inches at the widest point by 35 inches wide

CONDITION: I have freshly washed this textile and it's ready to use! This textile is pieced, so there are multiple seams running both the length and width of this textile. It's all handsewn and was hemmed on all sides with the most gorgeous hand stitching! There are a couple of very tiny pinholes orders in this pieces, but otherwise, it's in gorgeous condition and would be lovely for any period interior!
