Vintage 1980s white hand crocheted dress & orders slip wedding beach informal destination country cottage core upcycled Boho summer

This is a orders beautiful white, hand-crocheted dress from the 1980s. When I acquired it, it had a cotton lining that covered the sleeves, most of the bodice and skirt, and also had an elasticized waist. The last picture shows the dress with the original lining.

To update it, I removed the elastic and lining and made a separate, short slip dress to show off more of the crochet work. The dress could be worn over a bathing suit or alternative slip dress if desired.

This fun Boho/cottage core dress would be perfect for an informal, destination, beach, or backyard wedding. Of course it would also be great worn anytime during the warmer months. It packs easily, cleans readily and doesn't wrinkle. Since it's stretchy, it would still fit, if you eat too much on your vacation.

The slip dress could be worn separately. It's made of polyester crepe, fully lined, and has a zipper closure in the back.
