478 Big Cat Bowl Cheetah African Animal Sculpture Small Bowl is a soda-fired hand sculpted art object that has a functional component, the bowl, which allows it to be put into the dishwasher or microwave. This is a small Big Cat Cheetah bowl and may fit into many spaces—especially those small to medium spaces where just the right sized piece matters! This piece can be placed in the living room, entryway, bedroom, or any room of the house! The Big Cat Cheetah African Animal Sculpture Small Bowl is inspired by my travels to South Africa where I was fortunate enough to go on a number of safaris. Known as the fastest land animal, the Big Cat Cheetah African Animal often travels alone, but at times is seen with another big cat cheetah. The Big Cat Cheetah African Animal Sculpture Small Bowl is completely hand sculpted. A soda fired slip called Bringle yellow was applied to the entire piece and then glazed using two glazes, spearmint and opal blue. As is my signature, I often drip these glazes on the outside of the piece to give them visual interest. The piece was soda fired, a process that when brought up to temperature, about 1800 degrees, soda is sprayed in through the kiln's port hole at intervals for about 30-45 minutes. The soda interacts with the Bringle yellow slip and the glazes which emphasizes the features and presents a unique rendition of the Big Cat Cheetah African Animal orders Sculpture small bowl. The piece is 3”(H) x 3”(W) x 7.5”(D). Would make a lovely piece in your home or a gift for any special people in your life! Wooden base not included
