Beautiful "Sommerso" Murano art glass ashtray or bowl. This piece was produced in Italy during the 1960s.

One of the most common techniques to produce Murano Glass art is “Sommerso”, which in Italian literally means “submerged”. This technique is used to create several layers of glass (usually with different contrasting colours) inside a single object, giving the illusion of “immersed” colours that lay on top of each other without mixing.

This ashtray orders or bowl has original sticker of historic Murano glass company Ongaro & Fuga.

Handmade and rare item is in Vintage Used condition. No major defects, chips or cracks. There are some scratches inside and out, but considering its age and use, bowl in a good condition. Please look at all pictures carefully as they are important part of description.

Its really beautiful and interesting piece. Nice for collectors or just for home décor.
