This is a striking pair of Art Deco purple celluloid octagon engine turned Kum A Part snap cufflinks by Baer & Wilde. The shiny silver tone cufflinks have a line design with two diamond shaped cutouts that allow the light purple celluloid to show through.
Snaps are very easy to wear. To open, you break them apart, you don't pull them apart. You hold the link with thumbs together on top, and the bottom of your hands together, and then pull your thumbs down and away from each other.
You can put them on each side of the cuff before you put on your shirt and then just snap them together. To remove, place your thumb inside the cuff and push through to separate the link.
A nice size, the face is 1/2 inch octagon, and are 1/2 inch long.The space between the snap and face is 3/16 inch on each side.
The cufflinks are in good vintage condition. The snaps are tight and work as they should.
The inside of the snaps are signed B&W Co, for Baer & Wilde, Pat'd 1923, Kum-A-Part Regstd Made in USA.
All items are carefully wrapped, placed in a new gift box and tied with curling ribbon.
