A hand-carved pillbox orders made of bone, likely ox-bone. This piece is stunning and unique. The floral rosette design brings a delicate quality to the piece. the halves are hinged with brass. Carved bone pieces like this were imported from China in the mid-twentieth century, but are rare to find today. 1.5" diameter.
