This knife is very light for its capabilities because of the cord wrap handle which can be ordered in any color, just ask. Technical specification are O1 Toolsteel, 4" blade, 5" handle, leather wrap, Paracord Wrap also available at no extra cost, Differentially heat treated to be soft on the spine and hard on the edge. The edge is slightly convex which is agreed to be the strongest edge among knifemakers, but not so much that you dont get a good slice of wood when making kindling. If this knife breaks I'd love to hear how you broke it and I'll make you a new one if you pay for shipping. Its not made to be a prybar and the tip will crack off if you use it like one but it will definitely dig into wood very well. The spine is smooth. O1 toolsteel will rust if you leave the blade wet, but the blade will be unharmed, just clean with a Brillo pad or a scotch pad and leave that grey patina, it looks great the more you use it. If your blade gets completely covered with that patina you will look like a pro. Keep a light coat of oil on it and you are good to go. O1 toolsteel is known to keep an edge because of the high Carbon content, much better than stainless steel. orders
