This is a vintage Victorian Die Cut Salesman Sample VALENTINE CARD Display
The display contains 6 cards affixed to the display (paper) board. They cannot be removed from the board.
They were made in Germany
Victorian-era, early 1900s, definitely pre-1940s.
Very beautiful early Valentine's Day cards
Would have been carried around by a salesman as a salesman sample to show orders off the cards that could be purchased
Board has a label at the bottom. This was a set (No. 8838)
Each card is designed to move
One of the cards measured 4" x 2.75" so most of them should be close to that.
The entire board itself measures approx. 14" x 11"
Would look great framed!
Condition Details: This is a salesman sample display so the cards have been affixed to the board and cannot be removed without damaging them. Cards all move as they're suppose to but due to age they do have wear and a couple have some difficulty still moving appropriately due to damage over time and age. The weight lifting card has had the boy's head broken off and the bed card has damage to the bed posts. Backboard has some wear. Back of backboard has been drawn on. Sold as is.
