This handsewn floral Iris was created using the centuries-old counted cross-stitch technique. It looks beautiful alone or as part of a botanical gallery wall, which you can create with the other handsewn florals from my shop. This purple Iris was created using three strands of DMC cotton embroidery floss over ivory 16-ct DMC aida fabric, and took 15 hours to craft. It comes mounted and stretched in an oval frame, with a felt backing, and is ready to hang! This flower would look beautiful in a bathroom, entry way, or nursery--anywhere that needs a touch of purple.
