Large Ceramic Garlic Keeper, Green Gray Garlic Storage Container, Small Garlic Keeper

This beautiful and striking Green and Gray Garlic or Onion keeper is not only functional but it will also look amazing on your bench top. The small crock holds approximately 4 to 5 garlic bulbs and the large one holds approx. 7 garlic bulbs . It has holes equally placed around its walls to allow for constant air flow. It has a wide and easy to grip handle which also adds to its graceful look.

Most of the keepers I have made up till now have been large ones for garlic, potatoes or onions, but what about people who have limited benchtop space or don't stock up on so many garlic bulbs.
I thought if I am already going to make smaller crocks then why not change their shape while I'm at it!!!
I guess I get bored making the same shape for too long.

I glazed only the outer rim of the keeper, and lid, and left the rest unglazed in order to expose the beautiful gray speckled clay. Where there is a thinner layer of glaze the color is dark, almost black, and a beautiful light green in areas where the glaze has accumulated.
There are those who prefer the inside surface of the container to be left unglazed so that any humidity in the air will be absorbed into the walls of the container and not into its contents. If you are one of those people, then this crock is perfect for you.

My work is designed and created with much love, always with the utmost consideration for its use.
This item is made from ceramic stoneware and is fired to a temperature of 1200 degrees celsius (2192 Fahrenheit).
It is glazed with lead-free and food safe glazes and is ideal for use in the oven orders and microwave but not over an open flame.
It is dishwasher safe.
If the item is out of stock, I can make another one, but the new item may vary slightly in size. That's the beauty of handmade objects.
I work alone and hope you understand that creating new items will take approximately 4 to 6 weeks.
