Vintage Mid Century Modern free form blown glass

This wonderful massive art glass bowl made in pink color glass with clear massive base was designed by Josef Hospodka and made in the 1960s by Chribska glasswork. The Chribska Glassworks, full name Sklarna Chribska, was founded in the early fifteenth century, and stayed in production until very recently. In 1882 it was bought by the Mayer family. Chribska became part of the Borske Sklo National Corporation during the 1950s. Chief designer at this time was Josef Hospodka, who specialised in sculptural blown glass designs.
