A whimsical and happy art pottery bowl made by Cynthia Hipkiss, Sonoma California! Circa 1980's
This sweet bowl is 100% handmade and painted by the artist in her studio in Sonoma California. The bowl features adorable jellybean figures perched on the rim of the bowl, impressed and painted “jelly beans“ spelled out on the other side of the rim and colorful hand-painted jellybeans on the interior of the bowl! The outside of the bowl is a vibrant and fiery red color.
What a fantastic bowl to use for Halloween candy! A wonderful art piece just begging for the right display shelf. And of course…perfect for anyone who is a big fan of jelly beans!!!
This is one of her larger bowls at 10.25” in diameter from jelly bean figures to rim…9.25” wide from rim to rim!
Cynthia was born in New York in 1948; but has lived in Sonoma California most of her life. She attended California College of Arts and Crafts where she took her first ceramics class and fell in love with clay. She moved to Sonoma and finished her education at Sonoma State University where she got a BA degree in Art. After graduating in 1970 she showed at an art festival at Provost Park in Berkeley where she made enough money with her art to buy her first kiln. She has been working continuously in clay ever since. orders
