A Zebra's Stripes Himalayan Salt Lamp !
I found this Handmade Turkish Glass recently and my first orders thought was to title it "Safari" but my next thought was a Safari is related to "The Hunt" ! So that was nixed immediately ! We would not want to promote the hunt of these beautiful and endangered animals.
The Zebra has beautiful and distinct Stripes as we all know. Some studies of the Zebra and their stripes have revealed they are useful for hiding in the tall grass, shrubs or low lying trees the stripes are like a camouflage affect. Zebras have excellent eyesight and it is believed they see in color, they have superb hearing and have larger, rounder ears than horses. Like most members of the horse family the Zebra is highly social. The Mountain Zebra and Plains Zebra live in groups consisting of one Stallion with up to six Mares and their Foals. Bachelor Males live alone until they are strong enough to challenge a Stallion. When attacked by hyenas or wild dogs a Zebra herd will huddle together with the Foals in the middle while the Stallion tries to ward them off. Zebras like Horses sleep standing up and only sleep when neighbors are around to warn them of predators. Their diet is entirely on grasses, occasionally they are found eating shrubs, herbs, twigs, leaves and bark. Zebras have been part of African folk tales for centuries and are found in many of today's entertainment cartoons such as Madagascar... Zebras are the Featured coat of arms of Botswana.
