Hawaiian Sea orders Turtle glass sculpture

Hawaiian Sea Turtles are a symbol of long life and prosperity.

This listing is for a custom made turtle sculpture on a base. Each piece is made to order by Daniel Lindquist from borosilicate (Pyrex) glass. Daniel hand sculpts each piece in the flame using no molds, making each piece one of a kind. Because it is handmade each unique piece will vary in shape, color, and size. The photos show how the colors can orders vary.

The colors of the turtles are what you see in the photos. The fins and head are made with clear glass. The shell has blueish-green tones. Colors will vary as it is not an exact science. The atmosphere of the flame, the temperature of the kiln, and the color combination are all variables that will affect the color.

The finished product is based on sand coral collected on the beaches of Maui (each also one of a kind). The sand coral is painted to replicate the look of black Hawaiian lava.

Keep in mind... All bases will vary as they are organically made by nature, no base is ever the same. All glass pieces will vary as mentioned above. No two pieces will be the same. What you see in the above pictures is not exactly how your custom piece will be.

Please allow 4-6 weeks for completion (depending on the size of the piece). Once the piece is complete we will send you digital photos with dimensions to approve. Once approved, we will ship. All glass is guaranteed in travel. If it is damaged in shipping we will repair or replace the damaged piece for free.
