Vintage Native American Signed Clarissa Tafoya Santa Clara Redware Pot orders - Deeply Incised Bear Claw Marks 2 Sides - Tewa - Thick Pottery Walls

This listing is for a vintage Santa Clara Redware pot made and signed by Clarissa Tafoya, who is affiliated with the Tewa tribe. I've seen some of her other pieces online, and I suspect this is one of her earlier works. It has a beautiful, smooth finish.

- Deeply incised bear claws on two sides
- No rough spots on the rim, a couple of tiny glaze pops on the body
- The base has orders “Clarissa Tafoya SC” carved into the finish
- Measures approx. 3-1/8” at widest, top opening 2-1/4”, slightly rounded base is 1-1/4”, and height is 2-3/8”
- Age: It's been in our family for at least 15-20 years; and I found info that the artist married in 2001, and since this piece feels like an early one, 1980s is an educated guess

This cheerful little pot would make a great addition to a Native American pottery or specifically a redware collection!
