Vintage Folk Art Clay Mexican Metepec Sun Sol Face orders Bright Colors

This fabulous and fantastic El Sol or Sun is made in Metepec, Mexico sometime between the 1950's and 1970's ---the golden age of Mexican Folk Art in clay. The sun bears jubilant colors and design, traits that are the hallmarks of that era. The creator of this piece is unknown, but its style and color is typical of Metepec pottery with its vivid orders pinks, greens, and gold highlights.
The sun measures 6 inches high, 7 inches wide and approximately 3.5 inches deep.

This piece is in wonderful condition; its colors are intense and bright and no broken or repaired parts. Please take a close look at the photos.
