orders This Vintage Council Tool 3.5 pound axe is ready for work and lookin' MEAN! Freshly sharpened and hung on a super smooth 30³/⁴" hickory handle. Its locked together with a wedge made of cherry to accentuate what's left of the original red paint. Dings and dents definitely add a workhorse feel to this one. A previous owner coated the head in some sort of laquer that is holding up well. If it aint broke, dont fix it! The handle is finished exactly how I like my own hard workers - three super thin coats of boiled linseed oil.
