We use a strong 14 gauge metal to make these.

First, I design the font and arrange the words on my computer. Then we send it to the shop computer and cut it out on our CNC machine. Then one of us meticulously cleans the slag off of the metal and sands all the edges very carefully. After that we take it into town to the powder-coater.

Powder coating is a special paint finish that bakes the color on. It is much stronger than regular paint, and more resistant to scratches. It is resistant to fading and is long-lasting in outdoor environments, as well as in indoor environments.
