Large Meerschaum " Laughing Bacchus" estate pipe with custom fitted hard case.
Highly carved bowl with the face of Bacchus plus unique open carved section by the stem.
Beautiful Amber colored marbled stem with metal inlay of a "G".
Pipe measures: 6 1/2" long. Bowl is 3" high, 2 1/2" wide. Pipe has been lightly smoked, some darkening from use.
NO Cracks that I can see.
The hard case is custom fitted to the pipe and marked inside: "Finest Quality Genuine Block Meerschaum. There is some minor wear to the outside edge of the case.
Meerschaum pipes will darken with age to a deep patina color.
