Vintage Cast orders Metal Spaniel Pipe Holder

Beautiful condition vintage pipe holder cast metal, made in Austria sometime in the mid-1900s. The earliest versions of this holder included a lighter under the dog's head, and are considerably more expensive. As with so many factory cast pieces, the colors and quality of painting vary from piece to piece. This orders one is exceptionally fine.

I have seen these described as iron or bronze (unlikely) as well as brass and spelter (more likely one of these).

It measures 6 1/2 long by 3 1/2" high.
