Orders Chest of drawers dresser painted 1920s 30s depression PICKUP

1920s or 1930s depression era dresser tall chest of drawers, with creamy color old crackle paint from previous owners.

This is a project piece I saved for number of years and never got around to refinishing. But I made some changes since the photos were taken so please read carefully.

I have removed a lot of the brown glaze that is on top of the paint as I thought it looked a little too muddy and I liked the cream color of the old crackled paint.

I also stripped off the paint and the decorative applique from the bottom Central Medallion which is Birdseye Maple underneath. My intention with this piece was to expose the vertical strip of birds Eye Maple that goes up the middle of the drawers toward the top and leave the rest of the piece painted.

I made some repairs on the interior structure so that the drawers would Glide properly. The two middle drawers were pinching between them toward the left side where you can see some veneer chips in the photo. I glued the loose in your back down but did not patch in the chips yet.

The backsplash on the top has some loose and bubbled veneer which has not yet been addressed. The rest of the piece is in pretty good shape. It's solid and sturdy with no structural issues. The drawers are nicely dovetailed and it holds a lot for it somewhat smaller size.

The flaws are primarily Cosmetic in nature. It should be a simple easy refinishing or chalk paint DIY project. It comes with orders the original wheels and all the original Hardware as shown in the photo.

I might continue working on this one if I have time and can update the photos on the ad at a later date. For now I'm just putting it up for sale as pickup only as found in case somebody else would like to do the work.

Listed Dimensions include the wheels but do not include the backsplash on top at the rear. Dimensions can be approximate give or take a quarter inch at the outermost points.
