This is a beautiful vintage Quimper hand painted and signed plate in the Mistral Blue decor. It is decorated with a Breton man in traditional dress walking in the French countryside carrying a riding crop. He is surrounded by shrubbery and birds flying overhead. Sprays of floral garlands adorn the outer circle. The outer and inner rim are are adorned with the orders traditional single blue lines. It measures 9 1/2” in diameter. This piece is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or crazing. There are a few glaze pops or slips that are original to when it was produced. As these items are handmade and hand painted, no two will be exactly alike. Please see all photos as they accurately reflect the condition of the pieces.
