VTG Erzgebirge large Mrs. Easter Bunny 8 1/4" High smoking a pipe Wendt and
Kühn Erzgebirge folk art hand painted made in East Germany

I have never seen this large of a Erzgebirge rabbit, could have been a display rabbit for the store. This Mrs. Rabbit is dressed in white blouse with red dress covered by a blue with white polka dots apron, carrying a big carrot.

8 1/2" high x base is 2 1/2" round

Called "woodcraft of the heart"
Wendt und Kühn, one of the Erzgebirge mountains most loved workshops,
was established in the south-east German village of Grunhainichen in 1915.
In their 90+ year history, their figures are still carved and painted by
hand and are highly collectible.
