The C-O-Two Fire Equipment Company was founded in 1925 by M. A. Laswell in Los Angeles, California. Its industry included products containing carbon dioxide and its headquarters was in Newark, New Jersey. It was reincorporated in 1933 along with the Pyrene Manufacturing Company which became its parent. It merged with Pyrene in 1956 to form the Pyrene C-O-Two Corporation, which changed its name to Baker Industries later that year.
