This is orders a vintage Griswold cast iron No 8 hinged dutch oven with its lid. I believe this set was originally all black cast iron but it was painted with a cream color paint on the outside.which makes it looks somewhat like enameled cast iron.
The bottom is signed "No 8", "Griswold" in its small block logo, "Erie, PA 2578", It measures 10 1/4" in diameter and is 4" high and has two tab handles with holes that would take a bail handle, and it has a third tab with a slotted hole which holds the lid's tab.
The lid is also 10 1/4" in diameter and isblack enameled on the underside which also has the small Griswold block logo and "Erie PA" plus a pattern number which is hard to see clearly but looks like 2568 or 2588.
The inside of the bottom is clean but with some patches of light surface rust which could be removed without too much effort. The outside of both pieces show rubbed off color on the edges, I have no idea what kind of finish was put on this but it has obviously been used on an electric stove (note the discolored rings on the bottom where it was on an electric burner) so it probably was some sort of heat resistant enamel and could still be used...though I'm sure it could be removed if so desired, to bring it back to its original state.
There are no cracks or chips and it sits nice and flat. A great old Griswold piece to add to a collection and /or restore....
