I have driven through the picturesque small town of Blair, Ontario, on the Grand River, many times over the years. It was the birthplace of Canadian author Jessie Louise Beattie, who was born there in 1896.

This listing is for her autobiographical book A Season Past: Reminisces of a Rural Canadian Childhood. It was inscribed and signed by Beattie to a friend, in May of 1968.

It is a wonderful look into what pioneer life was like in this part of Canada in the early 1900s.

With designs and illustrations by Gordon Oglan, the book contains 153 pages, and was printed and bound in Canada. It measures approximately 8.75 inches by 5.75 inches.
