Robert Held native to California, where he earned a Master's Degree in Fine Arts, moved to Ontario, Canada in the late 60s to accept a position as Department Head of Ceramics. He then discovered anew passion for the art of glass blowing. In 1978 he moved to Calgary Alberta and started his glass blowing studio. In 1987 Mr. Held moved to Vancouver, British Columbia. In 2013 he made his final move to Parksville, BC where he still operates. His work is renown in many countries. His glass sculptures may also be found in major collections such as the Roland Michener and the Indusman.
