This sweet shell cameo is set in a marked 800 silver setting (80% pure silver) and depicts a young woman with pretty profile. The shell is carnelian in color and is without chip or crack. The piece was probably made circa 1900 and is in very nice vintage condition.
The mounting has not been polished and shows original patina, but we would be happy to polish it if buyer would like. The back pin fastener is in good condition, with a rotation safety secure. The tiny bail on back side, at top, can be hidden if not worn as a pendant, although the little ring may once have been used to attach a tiny chain which was secured to a pin or button, in order to prevent loss of this pretty piece of jewelry.
