Howard Pierce Porcelain Girl Feeding Goose, this girl is taller than the other sets we usually see, 7-3/4", and is posed differently with her head up, the feeding bowl tucked under her arm and most unusual the Goose is attached to the Girl permanently. Beautiful glossy white, she has the stamped ink mark and is in excellent condition, no nicks, chips, cracks or crazing. wr#2128

Howard Pierce began working in Southern California in the 1930's. In 1941 he opened his own pottery studio. He & Ellen Van Voorhis were married in 1941, Ellen was an artist too, they worked together & became a very professional team, they moved to Joshua Tree in 1968 where they designed & produced beautiful porcelain. They orders left us a legacy of wonderful animal & human figurines, some unique jewelry pieces, vases & other decorative pieces. Most pieces are marked although in sets often the smaller pieces were not marked.
