Also known as Sicilian Fig Cookies are traditionally served during the holidays, but certainly can be enjoyed year round. The sweet dough is similar to that of a butter cookie and the filling is a mixture of dried figs, dried dates, raisins, walnuts, apricot jam, fresh orange zest, honey, and rum. Then iced and sprinkles. Cuccidati are very special Italian fig cookies made in southern Italy.
