Product code: Vintage Temple orders Rubbing - Demon Soldiers
Estimated 1960's rubbing of interesting content. Research came back with; most likely done by a Thai artist and a title of “Demon Soldiers Drink Deep”. There are prints of this art, this however, is on a very thin paper type material, almost like orders tissue paper. Subject matter shows people partaking in a feast with drink & dance. The person to the left looks as if his partaking is not agreeing with him. The rubbing is done in a brownish sepia color on a light tan paper. There are two white squares showing through from the board (that's how thin the paper is). Will leave to the new owner to decide to try and remove, was much to delicate for me to attempt. Age has made the plastic border is rough & features cracks, with a small piece missing on bottom left. Tape was added to secure back side of sliding frame pieces. Hard plastic protecting, not glass. See pics for condition. Beautiful and unusual piece, unsigned & LOOKS to be an actual rubbing but can't guarantee. 20” tall, 16” width.
