Memory Quilt with Family photos, fabric photo orders album for Alzheimers, Dementia, Fidget Quilt

A memory quilt is great present for those with Alzheimer's or other dementias. It can be used as a memory prompt or to start conversations.

Send your choice of photos. There are 9 squares in the quilt for photos. They will be approx 7x7" (17x17cm), the whole quilt will be 24x24" (60x60cm).

If you select to add the album there will be 8 squares on the quilt, as the album is kept in the centre block. There are 10 photos in the album, which are 4" (10cm) square, the whole album is roughly 6" (16cm) square.

Your photos are printed orders onto cotton fabric and sewn into the quilt and or fabric photo album. Please use bright, light and clear photos as they tend to darken when printed.

The backing fabric will be flannel, chosen to compliment the colours of the quilt. The flannel helps to prevent the quilt from slipping off it owners knee when it is in use.

This quilt is completely custom, and I am happy to discuss your requirements and to include colours and motifs you select. It is 100% cotton and machine washable. See below.

Laundering directions.
The photos are colourfast and can be washed by hand or in the machine with NO detergent on the gentle cycle in cold water. If soiled, add a small amount of liquid fabric softener to the cold water. Lay flat to dry.

I have been a quilter for 20 years, and have made memory quilts celebrating friend's special events, but when my husband's mum developed Alzheimer's I wanted to make something that could combine a memory quilt with something to help interest her, and occupy her hands. She loved it so much that I thought it may be something that others would want too.

RETURNS OR CANCELLATIONS: Cancellations for a quilt will only be accepted within 24 hours of the order being placed, or until receipt of photos. If your item has been personalised with photos, then I cannot accept returns, unless the quilt is faulty. If you have any issues or questions please feel free to contact me.
