Antique Pin Cushion - Shoe Shaped

This is a nice old tiny shoe pin cushion.

It measures a mere 2 1/2 inches long by not quite an inch and half high.

It is made out of fabric-covered cardboard with a patterned paper bottom with silk floss tie. I just love the fabric that the shoe is covered in: a tiny print of mauve, burgundy and blue flowers on a tan ground.

Condition is very good with orders the most wear showing on the pin cushion itself. The silk has deteriorated to expose the cotton batting ball beneath.

All in all, a charming piece of Victorian sewing.
