Product code: Lewis & Clark Centennial Exposition Lapel orders Pin, "Sighting The Pacific 1805", Portland, Oregon, C. 1905

This pin is a very treasured piece. It marks a very well known event in history, and stands as a reminder and representative. The background of this pin is truly beautiful. It features clouds rolling in while the sun rises over the gorgeous Pacific Ocean. Lewis and Clark stand with Lady Liberty in between them. They are all so pleased with the sight they have been longing to see. Lady Liberty has the American flag flowing over her shoulders, and down her back. The front side of the pin reads "Sighting The Pacific, 1805.", "Copyright 1903", "By Lewis And Clark Exposition Co.", "Lewis And Clark Centennial Exposition", and "Portland, Oregon, 1905". The back of this pin is made from paper with words stating, "Allied Printing", "Trades Council", "Union Label", "Newark", "3", "Button made by The Whitehead & Hong Co. Newark, N.J. U.S.A. Pat. April 14 1896, July 21, 1896". There is age appropriate ware on the back. The paper is coming up orders just a bit, but you can only tell when you push on it, there is also some staining as seen in picture 10.
