Blade is of 1095 High Carbon Steel means that this steel contains at about 95 percent of carbon content.
We do heat treat for the regular use of knife that's why this hardens the blade and indicates about 58 to 60 HRC

For Handle material I use Ash wood. The wood combines strength, flexibility and texture. Care instructions:
• Use wd-40 or Olive Oil to prevent the blade orders from rusting.
• Coat the blade with light oil (such as olive oil).
• Oiling the blade will give it a rich luster look (Whether its Damascus steel or any other)
• Do not store the tool in leather sheath for a longer period (longer than a month) It will result in blade staining because of the absorbent nature of leather.
• If stored in leather sheath, it is recommended to wrap the blade in lamination sheet first.
