Slow growth to 40 feet. Spread 15 to orders 25 feet. One of the most tolerant spruces as it withstands wind, heat, cold, drought and crowding; best in full sun. Short, stiff, bluish green needles. One of the best evergreens for use in a container, year around, even in the North. Often used as a decorated, living Christmas tree. Also, an excellent, dense evergreen screen that will not get rangy and out of control as it matures. Not a well known tree, but definitely should not be overlooked. Ordinary soil. Good bonsai subject. Provides dense shelter for wildlife. Make excellent farmstead windbreaks.

All trees are shipped bare root

There are logistics of your tree shipment for out of Pennsylvania orders. Trees are perishable so to avoid the possibility of your package sitting in a postal facility or vehicle over a hot weekend while not in transit we are only shipping out of state orders on Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays. Also ALL out of state orders are certified by the Pennsylvania Dept of Agriculture to be pest and disease free which usually happens on Tuesdays. So if you place an order from another state Monday night it may not get shipped until the following Tuesday. In some instances I can get inspected later in week as well in that case shipping will be on a Saturday or Monday. If there are any problems with your order please let us know.

Our Warranty Policy: All of our trees are guaranteed to be true to species. We have no control over what happens after they leave our care. Customer is responsible for proper transplanting and care. We will replace trees under the following conditions. 1. Damaged in transit by shipper: We must be advised of any damage upon receipt of the item. Photos and written documentation required. 2. Damaged upon receipt claims: We must be advised of any faulty goods upon receipt of the item. Claim must include photo and written documentation. 3. All other claims must be made within 14 days from the date items were received. There is no need in most cases to physically return items, however photographic evidence of claims being made will be required in order to receive a replacement item or in store credit. In general any faulty goods will be replaced or money refunded, however we must be advised of any faulty goods upon receipt of the item. It is the customers responsibility to pay for and ship the item back to us if taking photos of the claim does not provide solid proof of claim. If you are returning the items for any reason other than being damaged or dead or for an error on our part then there will be a 20% restocking fee. Our liability is to the purchase price only not including S&H charges. Guarantee Period is 14 days only! Absolutely No Exceptions! Since the products we are selling are perishable we can only ensure that you receive undamaged, healthy, live trees, plants and other products. however we can not guarantee how the plants are cared for or handled after they have been received, therefore our liability ends after 14 days from the date tracking shows they were delivered. We have no responsibility if we are not notified immediately of any defect upon receipt.
