Our contemporary gemstone set Petite Bee, now available as a Stud Pin or Tie Tack, please choose your gemstone from the drop down menu. Modern and fresh, uniquely celebrating a very small orders yet impactful creature, for the sophisticated nature lover in your life.
Size: Sterling Petite Queen Bee Stud Pin will buzz on your lapel at just over 1/2" in length and width. Our smallest metallic Bees are enhanced by luminous petite 3mm Cabochons, or 3mm Rose cut gems, in this case, plumy Iolite, Citrine (Nov. Birthstone) and rose cut (faceted surface) Labradorite are shown in the listing photos. Our original design is cast in recycled Sterling, in small batches, and then finished in our studio, stone set and antiqued, completed with a sturdy nickel silver pin, and clutch.
Our unique artistic renditions of the effervescent insect has been handcrafted in the round, the abdomen, a swirl of Sterling wire. We give them a natural charcoal grey patina, to enhance their details and we finish by hand-brushing the metal to a satin sheen. We enjoy creating modern artistic interpretations of the mysterious and complex communal insect, revered in myriad cultures throughout antiquity.
