Vintage Sterling Agate Ring Ladys Size 9, orders Silver Setting with Agua Nueve Agate from Mexico, 1960s Agate Ring in Silver Setting
Mid-century Ladys Ring Size 9. Agua Nueve Agate Ring with Carved Silver Setting from the 1960s.
I've had this ring a long time. I bought it at an estate sale where a lot of Southwest jewelry was offered. I bought quite a bit of turqoise at the sale, but this ring caught my eye and the lady there told me it was from Mexico and called Agua Nueve orders Agate because of the ranch it was mined from. She said she bought it at a sale outside the mine when they visited Mexico in the 60s. I'm not a gem or rock authority by any means, but I can tell this is a nice ring although it isn't hallmarked at all. But I've purchased great rings in silver with authentic stones from roadside stand here in the US and sometimes they aren't hallmarked either. So, I've told you what I know about this ring...now it needs to find another home. My little old lady fingers don't show off jewelry anymore, so I'm getting rid of my entire collection.
